Unfortunately, due to the unnaturally dry spring weather and the very real risk of a serious fire, under advisement, the Eskdaleside Parish Council has to CANCEL this Beacon lighting event.

Apologies for the short notice, but we have been working hard at various alternatives that we could not make happen.

However, I understand that beacon lighting is still going ahead at Goathland and Danby (which use safer beacon systems).
