Welcome to the April Fools' Open day - Rubbish and Recycling event! Join us at Allerton Waste Recovery Park for a fun and educational day focused on waste and recycling.

A fun and informative day all about rubbish and recycling - it's free and perfect to unearth the truth about what happens after bin day !

Everyone over the age of 7 years old can join a tour of the site to see the technology behind Energy from waste. The time specified on your ticket is your tour time, you are welcome to arrive before and stay afterwards to make the most of the event.

Learn how to reduce your environmental footprint, and explore innovative recycling techniques.

This in-person event is a great opportunity to ask questions to experts in the field, and participate in hands-on activities.

The North Yorkshire Rotters and North Yorkshire Council will be hosting fun and interactive activities including the famous smoothie bike.
